Mark Zuckerberg showed the technology based on AI, which can create virtual worlds from a verbal description

(ORDO NEWS) — Artificial intelligence researchers at Meta are working on a bot that will allow users to change their environment with voice commands.

According to The Verge , Meta (formerly Facebook) CEO Mark Zuckerberg demonstrated an artificial intelligence concept called the Builder Bot during a pre-recorded video inside the Metaverse.

What can the new technology do?

Introduced as a 3D avatar, Zuckerberg gave the bot a voice command “Let’s go to the park” . Hearing her, the bot immediately created a three-dimensional landscape of the park with green grass and trees.

The commands that followed ranged from general ones like “Create an island” to very specific ones like asking for Altocumulus to be added.

“As this technology continues to develop, you will be able to create nuanced worlds to explore and share with others using just your voice ,” Zuckerberg said.

The bot is likely at a relatively early stage of development, as Zuckerberg hasn’t given any details about how it works.

As Engadget notes , the Builder Bot is part of a larger project called Project CAIRaoke, which aims to create AI that recognizes text and speech and generates virtual worlds based on them.
