(ORDO NEWS) — Experts conducted another study and found that people who regularly drink small amounts of alcohol are less likely to experience cardiovascular disease than everyone else.

Scientists analyzed data from 48 thousand people who have heart or vascular problems. They also took into account how much alcohol they drink and what their risk of heart attack or stroke in the next 20 years.
Those people who consumed about 8 grams of pure alcohol per day were 27% less likely to die from a heart attack than those who did not drink at all. Drinking alcohol in the amount of 6 grams per day reduces the risk by almost 50%.
The maximum amount of alcohol that can help reduce the risk of heart disease is as little as 15 grams per day, or a bottle of good wine per week. This dose is much less than that previously calculated by US specialists for men.
Of course, this does not mean that you need to start drinking immediately. Alcohol, although it can lower the risk of developing a heart attack or stroke, but at the same time it causes the development of many other pathologies and health problems.
At the same time, the experts added that their data may be somewhat exaggerated due to the fact that absolutely all the factors that may affect the final result were not taken into account.
