Lake in Paraguay turned blood red

(ORDO NEWS) — This lake turned blood red overnight. And the authorities are still looking for the reasons for this strange color.

The water of Lake Laguna Cerro, located in the city of Limpio, 30 km from the capital of Paraguay, began to turn red during the quarantine, but the color suddenly intensified overnight.

At first it was green, the water turned light pink, and then became completely red overnight. A strong odor is also associated with color. The smell is so awful that it is almost impossible to sit outside.

Officials have already taken water samples and are now analyzing them: “We took samples to accurately determine the types of pollutants that are in this lake. The color of the water is very strange.”
