(ORDO NEWS) — The latest James Webb Space Observatory (JWST), as part of the PEARLS project, which aims to study galaxies, large-scale structures of the Universe and black holes, took an image covering a region of the sky known as the North Pole of the ecliptic.
Most of the objects shown in this image are distant galaxies. Some are located relatively close to the Milky Way, while others are at the very edge of the observable universe.
Present in the picture and several stars that are located in our galaxy. They can be identified by the presence of diffraction rays (lines emanating from the center of the stars).
