(ORDO NEWS) — All four of the new James Webb Space Telescope’s science instruments have completed calibration and can take well-focused, sharp images. NASA announced this yesterday, April 28, and shared a collage of new images taken by the telescope.
“The calibration of the James Webb telescope has been completed,” the agency said. Recall that it was carried out in seven stages.
The quality of the optics of the new telescope exceeds the expectations of its developers. “These images profoundly changed my perception of the universe.
We are surrounded by the symphony of creation, galaxies everywhere! I hope that the whole world will be able to see them,” Scott Acton, one of the scientists working in the program, shared his impressions of the pictures.
