Italy underestimates coronavirus deaths
US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — Italy, unfortunately, occupies a leading position in the distribution of coronavirus. According to experts, the number of deaths is underestimated (it is difficult to imagine even more victims).
Silvio Brusaferro, head of the ISS National Institute of Health, expressed his doubts.
It is known that the list of deaths from the virus is replenished if a person’s infection was previously confirmed by laboratory tests. At the same time, there are many deceased citizens who did not pass the coronavirus test, but were sick.
Now many people in Italy die at home and in nursing homes. Nobody checks them, so they can be contagious. According to the mayor of Bergamo, the country may be 4 times more dead.
To date, according to official statistics, the virus claimed almost 15,400 lives. There are almost 125 thousand people infected.
It is not known when the flash will decline. As it became known, the virus is not so much afraid of the heat as expected, therefore, the number of deaths every day will only become larger the next month.
