The experiment involved 2,110 people, whose age ranged from 38-50 years. People have been observed for 11 years. Some participants regularly walked and took at least 7 thousand steps every day, while others could not take even five thousand. The research results were published in the JAMA Network Open.
They demonstrated that more active participants were thus able to reduce the risk of death from a wide variety of diseases by about 50-70%.
