US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — Intel Graphics revealed a mysterious big chip. This is most likely a senior graphics processor with Xe architecture.
The photo appeared in the official @IntelGraphics Twitter account. The chip in the picture is compared in size with an AA battery. Therefore, we can conclude that the chip is really big.
Tom’s Hardware also noted that the tweet was most likely posted by Raja Koduri, vice president of Intel Graphics. This is another reason to assume that the mysterious chip is somehow connected with the Xe GPUs.
The best guess is that this is an Xe variant of HPC (High Performance Computing GPU). That is, most likely, this is not a product aimed at the ordinary consumer. The dimensions of the package, by the way, are approximately from 77.6 x 50 mm to 80 x 52 mm. Size also indicates that the solution is not intended for ordinary consumers.
