(ORDO NEWS) — According to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Living Planet 2022 report, the number of wild animals in the world decreased by 69% between 1970 and 2018.
The WWF Living Planet Index, which includes data on 32,000 populations of various species of mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles and fish, shows an accelerating decline in their numbers on planet Earth.
According to the Wildlife Foundation, in Latin America and the Caribbean, the number of wild animals has decreased by 94%, in Africa by 66%, in Asia and the Pacific by 55%, in North America by 20%.
In Central Asia and Europe, the number of wild animals decreased by 18%.
