(ORDO NEWS) — Some time ago, experts published the results of another study, which says that in about 76% of those who have had coronavirus, the symptoms do not disappear even six months after complete recovery. As it was found out, at least one of the symptoms of the disease manifests itself, reports the Lancet magazine.

The study involved 1733 people. 1172 of them required compulsory oxygen therapy during treatment. These people were discharged from the hospital between January and May 2020.

63% of patients reported that even after six months, weakness or constant fatigue occurs from time to time. 26% of patients have sleep problems for a long time, and 23% are generally depressed.

It also turned out that the harder a person tolerated coronavirus, the greater the risk that lung function was impaired as a result. Most of the problems with the lungs occurred in those patients who were forced to resort to mechanical ventilation or oxygen therapy, and this is 56% and 29%, respectively.

Another part of the patients began to develop problems with other organs. Most of all, due to the treatment of coronavirus, the kidneys suffered, although before the start of therapy, patients had no problems with these organs.
