IMF head praises Indonesia’s economic policy

US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva praised the Indonesian government’s policy to combat the economic and social consequences of the outbreak of coronavirus, Antara reports.

“We see that Indonesia has a significant and focused policy to support the country’s economy,” said Kristalina Georgieva at a media briefing in Geneva, Switzerland.

In particular, the IMF praised the good coordinated work between the Bank of Indonesia and the country’s ministry of finance to combat the coronavirus pandemic and to protect small and medium-sized enterprises.

According to the head of the IMF, these two politicians will not only have a real impact on the situation, but will also help improve the dynamics of the Indonesian economy when the situation improves.

South Korean company, LG, will assist the Indonesian government in the fight against coronavirus.
