Illuminati: The Enlightened Conspiracy
(ORDO NEWS) — Whenever the conversation about conspiracy theory comes up, the Illuminati are invariably mentioned – members of a secret order who supposedly influence all significant events in the world. But are they as influential as people think about it?
Over the course of several centuries, there have been so many myths around the Illuminati that now it is almost impossible to distinguish truth from fiction.
Fashion writers and Hollywood screenwriters add fuel to the fire. The blockbuster “Angels and Demons” based on the novel of the same name by Dan Brown sparked a surge of interest in the Illuminati, who became associated with the dark forces … Who were they really? And does this society exist today?
Illuminated by baptism
At the dawn of Christianity, the Illuminati were those who were baptized. Because the very word “Illuminati” in translation from Latin means “illumination”, “enlightenment”.
In 1650, a secret society appears in Rome, which united a group of scientists who rebelled against church dogmas. They called themselves the Illuminati. The Illuminati Order was organized according to a strictly hierarchical principle, many of the rules were taken from the old Templar charter. At various times, members of this society were Leonardo da Vinci, Galileo Galilei, Nicolaus Copernicus, Isaac Newton. True, there is an opinion that this secret union of scientists, keeping secret knowledge from mere mortals, existed even in antiquity.
Whatever it was, but the Roman Illuminati believed that if anyone should be called “enlightened”, it is the people of science, illuminating the world with the light of knowledge. In their meetings, they discussed methods of countering church influence. Jesuits and Illuminati met in a deadly battle, in which each relied on his own weapon. The Church preferred forceful methods, bringing scientists to justice, banning their books, or simply physically eliminating them. Scientists undermined the tenets of the Catholic Church.
Gradually, the church got closer to the brotherhood, and its members were forced to flee from Italy to other countries.
At the end of the 18th century, the priest Augustin de Baruelle, in his book Memoirs on the History of Jacobinism, stated the opinion that it was under the leadership of the Illuminati that the conspiracy that resulted in the French Revolution was carried out. At almost the same time, Scottish professor John Robinson wrote Evidence of a Secret Conspiracy Against All Religions and Governments in Europe, where he talked about the existence of an Illuminati conspiracy to replace all religions with humanism and create a single world government.
Yes, and the United States recalled their Declaration of Independence, based on ideas of enlightenment, which supposedly is evidence that the founding fathers of the United States were completely Illuminati. As an example, they cited the fact that the date underlying the pyramid on the Great Seal of the United States, written in Roman numerals: MDCCLXXVI – 1776 – the year of the adoption of the US Declaration of Independence and the founding of the Bavarian Illuminati Order. If you believe this version and take into account the military and political power of the United States today, it should be admitted that the Illuminati have indeed reached the heights of power.
The true goals of the Bavarian Illuminati
In 1776, law professor Adam Weishaupt founded a new secret society, the Bavarian Illuminati Order.
The purpose of this order was to improve and ennoble humanity by ridding it of the influences of the state, religion, society. True, the methods by which the Illuminati were going to fight turned out to be highly controversial.
A certain Baron Adolph von Knigge, a former member of a secret society, betrayed the brothers. And the authorities got hold of the archive collected by Xavier von Zwack, Weishaupt’s confidant. The documents spoke of the need to overthrow the monarchy and establish a republic, and there was a lot of other exciting information: a description of the composition of the emulsion, which can disfigure the victim’s face or blind her; a guide to infecting your bedroom with the plague bacillus; the names and addresses of political and public figures, as well as information of a very piquant quality – the characteristics of eighty-five noble ladies of Munich, who were going to be attracted to the special sister order conceived by Zwak. The tasks of this order would include the provision of intimate services to the “brothers”, and it was assumed that “brothers” and “sisters” would be given to natural attraction, hiding their faces under masks.
Upon learning of this, the Elector of Bavaria Karl Theodor by the highest decree banned the activities of the Illuminati on pain of beheading.
Presumably, in his place, everyone would have done this. Either you save humanity, or indulge in debauchery – there are no other options.
