(ORDO NEWS) — Scientists told how you can increase the level of “good” cholesterol. Representatives of Teikyo University in Japan indicated that there are no drugs yet that can provide such an effect.
“Bad” and “good” cholesterol play an important role in the human body. In the first case, during accumulation, such a compound has nowhere to go, so it remains on the walls of blood vessels. Subsequently, the risk of developing atherosclerosis increases.
On the contrary, HDL helps to reduce the content of harmful substances, cleansing blood vessels and ensuring the correct functioning of the liver. It turned out that the most effective way to increase the level of “good” cholesterol – exercise. While nutrition is also important for lowering LDL cholesterol, it doesn’t have the same effect.
You can increase your HDL levels through movement. Not only sports activities will be useful, but also simple walks. Aerobic exercise will be a good solution, at first it is enough to spend half an hour a day three times a week on them.
