Geologists have warned of the imminent eruption of the Yellowstone supervolcano

(ORDO NEWS) — The Yellowstone caldera was influenced by three most powerful recent eruptions: Huckleberry Ridge (2.1 million years ago), Mesa Falls (1.3 million years ago) and Lava Creek (0.6 million years ago). According to seismologists, a new large-scale event may soon occur.

In theory, it is possible to take the main source of energy – heat, but humanity does not have the technology to implement this plan. Therefore, it is impossible to influence the course of events in any way.

Last year, scientists came up with a £ 2.7bn plan that turned out to be incredibly risky. Experts suggested drilling the volcano’s hydrothermal system and pumping cold water in order to cool the magma. This plan can be applied to any volcano. As for Yellowstone, scientists are afraid to exacerbate the situation.

The proposed idea is interesting, but not scientific at all. It carries many risks for which it is not known who will be responsible. Implementing a plan can bring many challenges.

According to geologists, once again Yellowstone will not explode, as it was 70 thousand years ago, but will eject lava. The incandescent substance will spread over a large area.

So far, there is no reason to believe that the volcano will wake up anytime soon. However, scientists are sure that there is a danger, just not enough observations and analysis are being carried out. One day a tragedy will happen. It can happen in 100 years, 1000 or 10,000 years.

Humanity is not going anywhere, so a plan must be developed to prevent the eruption. If the stress in the caldera is not relieved, the lives of people throughout North America will be at risk. Salvation will not be found in any corner of the mainland, as dangerous ash with cutting particles will spread everywhere.
