US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — In the Chernobyl zone of the nuclear power plant, a fire resumed due to strong winds. This was announced on April 16 on his Facebook page by a member of the public council at the State Agency for Management of the Exclusion Zone Yaroslav Emelianenko.
“Fire resumed in the Chernobyl zone. On April 16, a sandstorm swells the centers of corruption to open fire in many places,” he wrote.
Emelianenko expressed the hope that the state will promptly respond to a fire, given the fact that money has been allocated to extinguish it.
On April 5, the State Emergency Situations Service of Ukraine (SES) assured that firefighters liquidated open fire in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, dropping 50 tons of water using aviation.
On April 7, it became known that the fire area in the Chernobyl exclusion zone increased more than three times, reaching 35 hectares . It was noted that the An-32P plane, two Mi-8s were involved in the extinguishing, and 72 tons of water were dumped onto the ignition sites themselves.
