Explosion in a chemical factory in Venice
US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — An explosion occurred Friday in a chemical plant in Venice, whose residents were asked to stay in their homes and close doors and windows.
Corriere del Veneto, a local newspaper, reports an injured worker at the site, which is located in the industrial zone of Porto Marghera, on the mainland, a few kilometers from the historic center of the city.
Images showing a thick cloud of black smoke were broadcast on television. Firefighters are on site and ambulances have been dispatched to the scene.
