(ORDO NEWS) — Scientists hypothesize that the human genetic code may contain signs of the existence of intelligent aliens.
Dr. Vladimir Shcherbak, mathematician from the Kazakh National University of Kazakhstan named after Al-Farabi, and Maxim A. Makukov, astrobiologist of the Kazakhstan Astrophysical Institute named after Fesenkov, recently published an article entitled “Wow! signal of the “earth’s genetic code” in the scientific journal Icarus.
This name refers to the famous unidentified radio signal discovered by SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) scientists in 1977. But instead of listening to extraterrestrial radio broadcasts, these scientists were looking at biological SETI.
Seeing that the features of the human genetic code defy natural explanation, the team of researchers considered the possibility of intelligent embedded code in the code.
The researchers believe that “the scheme has a much greater durability and likelihood of detecting aliens than a temporary extraterrestrial radio transmission.”
The article annotation says:
“There have been many suggestions to expand the capabilities of SETI, and biological environments are one of the proposed alternatives to radio. Genomic DNA is already being used on Earth to store non-biological information. The genetic code, although smaller in capacity, is more resistant to interference.
The code is a flexible mapping between codons and amino acids, and this flexibility allows you to artificially change the code. But once corrected, the code can remain unchanged on a cosmological time scale; In fact, it is the most durable structure known.
Consequently, it is an extremely reliable repository of smart signatures if it meets biological and thermodynamic requirements.
Since the real scenario of the origin of earthly life is still far from complete, it cannot be ruled out that it could have been sown deliberately.
A statistically strong mind-like “signal” in the genetic code is then a testable consequence of such a scenario. ”
These scientists argue that the genetic code appears to have been “invented outside the solar system several billion years ago.”
This view supports the idea of panspermia – life on Earth was seeded with life that originated somewhere else in the universe.
In exploring the possibilities of biological SETI, these researchers look at the typically religious concept of intelligent design, but from an extraterrestrial scientific perspective.
