(ORDO NEWS) — Since November 18, Ireland will introduce new quarantine restrictions due to the increase in the incidence – a curfew will apply to the work of bars, restaurants and nightclubs in the country. Reported by CNN.
Also, vaccination certificates will become mandatory when visiting theaters and cinemas.
At the same time, it is noted that the level of immunization of residents, including schoolchildren, reached 89.1% – the country is the leader among all European countries in terms of vaccination.
Prime Minister Michelle Martin called for “collective action” to keep Ireland’s economy open and pointed to “the picture emerging across Europe” – the number of infections as a whole is growing and forcing governments to impose new restrictions.
Also, according to Martin, the government plans to offer a third dose of the vaccine to people aged 50 and over and citizens with certain diseases.
