According to the statement , the European Space Agency will continue to cooperate with the Russian Space Agency despite international political tensions. However, the agency noted that it would “monitor the development of the situation.”
The European Space Agency is collaborating with Russia on the International Space Station (ISS) and is also collaborating on the ExoMars program, which aims to explore Mars and look for any signs of life on the Red Planet.
What about NASA?
NASA also announced that it will continue to cooperate with Roscosmos on the ISS.
“NASA continues to work with all of our international partners, including the State Space Corporation Roscosmos, to ensure the continued safe operation of the International Space Station,” the agency said in a statement .
Earlier, the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, commented on the sanctions against the Russian high-tech sector, calling them “Alzheimer’s sanctions.” Rogozin also added that because of these sanctions, the ISS could fall on the United States, China or India.
