Egyptian pyramids to be studied using cosmic rays

(ORDO NEWS) — It is reported that a group of international scientists decided to study the pyramid of Cheops by irradiating it with rays from space.

According to the source, cosmic rays will help to study the internal structure of the pyramid with high accuracy. Information resource Universe Today wrote more about the new project.

According to the authors of the new study, the Egyptian pyramids have already been scanned using muon thermography.

The latter, by the way, are cosmic rays capable of building three-dimensional models of objects. This study took place more than six years ago, in which scientists managed to find a mysterious void in the pyramid.

Currently, active preparations are underway for the project by scientists from Egypt, the USA and England.

According to the source, a group of international scientists will also use cosmic rays, but their difference is that their power will be almost a hundred times more powerful.

During the study, scientists expect to obtain the most accurate three-dimensional model of the pyramid of Cheops, as high-power lasers will be able to image “every corner,” said the head of research.

Also, according to scientists, muon thermography will help to learn more about the history of one of the wonders of the world, as well as discover the secret of its construction.
