US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — For ten years, staff at the Buffalo Hospice and Palliative Care Center studied patients’ dreams before they left. As it turned out, dreams have many common points.
The research results are based on the dreams of 13 thousand people. 88% of patients experienced vivid dreams before death. 72% communicate with dead relatives and friends, 59% – were going somewhere or buy tickets. The pictures I saw were positive and vivid, evoking only good emotions.
In 29% of cases, people observed their living friends or relatives. 28% of patients saw pictures from the past – events that were always pleasant to remember. There were also many cases when pets appeared in dreams.
People began to dream about ten weeks before death. As death approached, the frequency of the images that appeared increased. It is possible that dreams are associated with changes in the brain. Whether this is true remains to be seen by scientists.
