Destructive floods hit Nepal

(ORDO NEWS) — New deadly floods and landslides again hit Nepal, where 7 and 20 people have been missing in the last two days.

Authorities reported flooding and landslides in 2 places in the Barkhabis municipality of Sindhupalchok district (also Sindhupalchok) of Bagmati Pradesh province.

As of July 11, at least 2 people were killed, 20 are still missing and 5 injured. Sixteen houses were completely destroyed.

Floods and landslides also damaged Araniko Highway in several places. The highway is an important road connecting the country with a border point with China.
