(ORDO NEWS) — Antarctica has always been a source of mystery and intrigue, but a recently declassified document has shed light on an old mystery – UFO sightings on a frozen continent.
The document reveals previously unknown details about strange sightings and raises new questions about what could be happening in one of the most remote and inaccessible places on Earth.
In the early 1960s, a string of unusual UFO sightings took place in the Antarctic region. A newly discovered document now confirms these unexplained events in the skies over the icy continent.
Brazilian explorer, author and archivist Rodrigo Moura Visoni recently discovered and digitized Bulletin 62-36 of the US Antarctic Research Program, which operates under the auspices of the National Science Foundation (NSF).
On the second page of the document is a section entitled “Hallett, July 7, 1962. A light that looks like a basketball at the base,” describes an intriguing event.
Hallett Station reported that on July 7 at 11:15 am (GMT), several people witnessed a bright light that crossed the sky from the southern horizon to the northern one in 3-4 minutes.
The object appeared to be composed of three separate lights, the largest of which emitted a visible trail of steam in the moonlit sky.
As the object approached north and hovered just above the horizon, there was a bright flash of light, but the object’s course remained unchanged. It was the second such sighting in Hallett that winter, with the first occurring on June 7th.
On March 18, personnel from the SANAE base on the opposite side of the continent also observed a similar glowing object.
Researcher Ruben Morales previously mentioned the case in his book Antarctica UFOs, citing specialized sources such as New Zealand’s Antarctic magazine and declassified files from the famous Blue Book project.
Notably, in 1962, Hallett Antarctic Station was jointly operated by New Zealand and the United States.
“This document now confirms this,” the author said. He also mused on the possibility of countless other cases and reports of strange lights lying forgotten on library shelves.
In conclusion, Morales stressed that more documents may soon be available due to the ongoing digitization of archives and the efficiency of algorithmic search.
As the newly discovered NSF Bulletin 62-36 testifies, these future discoveries may further shed light on mysterious UFO sightings in Antarctica.
Antarctica is one of the most mysterious places on Earth where many UFO sightings take place.
Over the years, various UFO-related sightings have been reported, both among scientific expeditions and among military bases.
One of the most famous cases of UFO contact in Antarctica occurred in 1965, when an unknown flying object occurred at the Otis military base.
According to witnesses, the object was the size of a bus and had an odd shape. When two military men went to investigate it, they reported contact with alien beings that they claimed were inside the facility.
There have also been sightings of a large number of unknown objects in the air moving at the speed of light, and they usually appear and disappear within a few seconds.
Some scientists believe that Antarctica may be home to secret UFO bases and that alien creatures may be using the region as a way to hide from humans.
However, none of these cases have been officially proven or confirmed, so for now we can only guess and explore Antarctica to uncover its many mysteries.
