US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — Hossein Hassanian, an adviser to the Iranian Ministry of Health, shared the latest data, according to which more than 700 people died after trying to recover from coronavirus with methanol.
At the same time, the Associated Press believes that the figures given by the official significantly exceed the true state of affairs. But Hassanian has an answer to this – according to him, this is due to the fact that a huge number of poisoners eventually died not in hospitals.
So, outside the medical institutions, according to the adviser to the Minister of Health, about 200 people died.
Recall also a little earlier it became known that since February 20, 525 people have died from taking methanol in the country. The number of poisoned by the substance reached more than 5 thousand people – all of them believed in rumors that appeared in Iran that methyl alcohol can cure coronavirus.
