Collision between the Milky Way and the Andromeda galaxy simulated

(ORDO NEWS) — In the future, a collision of two massive galaxies – the Milky Way and Andromeda – is inevitable. Already, experts are making various predictions about upcoming events.

According to experts, the connection will occur in about 10 billion years. As you know, there is a black hole in the center of every galaxy. These objects can begin to revolve around each other, and after 17 billion years a collision will follow. Such conclusions were presented by experts from the University of Rome Sapienza.

Before the collision of black holes, powerful radiation of gravitational waves will appear, the power of which will be ten quintillion solar masses. If some civilization within a radius of 3.26 million light years has devices for capturing gravitational waves, then it can learn about what is happening.

Andromeda is moving towards the Milky Way at a speed of 116 km / s. The computer model took into account the gravitational attraction of objects, the presence of rarefied gas and other materials.
