Chinese company appoints robot as its CEO

(ORDO NEWS) — It is assumed that the robot will make more fair decisions regarding the company’s employees.

Recently, Chinese mobile game company NetDragon Websoft appointed an artificial intelligence-enabled virtual human named Tang Yu (“Tang Yu”) as CEO.

The appointment was made on August 26, and the virtual CEO, Ms. Tang Yu, began her work at Fujian’s main subsidiary NetDragon Websoft.

According to the company statement, Tang Yu will make decisions during the day-to-day operations of the company and provide a more effective risk management system. It will also be used as a real-time data center and analytical tool for the board.

It would be pointless to think about modern technology without artificial intelligence. Therefore, the founder of the company, Dr. Dejian Liu, emphasizes the importance of this breakthrough in the company.

“We believe that AI is the future of corporate governance, and our appointment of Tang Yu reflects our commitment to truly use AI in managing our business,” said Dejian Liu.

NetDragon is one of the most respected and well-known online game developers in China. It was founded in 1999 and has released a number of popular games including Eudemons Online, Heroes Evolved, Conquer Online and Under Oath.

In 2010, NetDragon Websoft began working in the field of education to create “the greatest educational community internationally.”

The company has also made several acquisitions in the field, including the creation of the UNT-NetDragon Digital Research Center with the participation of the University of North Texas.

On July 3, 2017, NetDragon announced the acquisition of US educational software publisher JumpStart Games. Back in 2015, NetDragon acquired a 100% stake in the British Promethean Limited.
