US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — China on Sunday launched the Changzheng-2D launch vehicle (Changzheng-2D, Long March – 2D) with two satellites on board. As reported by the Central Television of China, satellites have successfully entered predetermined orbits.
According to TV, the launch was carried out from the Jiuquan Cosmodrome (Gansu Province, Northwest China) at 16:53 local time.
The payload of the launch vehicle included the Gaofen-9 high-resolution Earth remote sensing apparatus, as well as the Hede-4 satellite, designed to collect information in the field of the Internet of things, marine navigation and aviation.
As noted, Gaofen-9 will be used in road construction, urban planning, assessment of farmland productivity, as well as in the aftermath of natural disasters.
According to television, this was the 333rd launch of the Changzhen launch vehicles.
