US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — The Chinese authorities sent a group of specialists to the DPRK, which included medical experts, Reuters reported on Saturday, citing three unnamed sources. The agency connects this information with rumors that appeared earlier about possible health problems with the DPRK leader Kim Jong-un.

According to Reuters, a delegation led by a senior representative of the international department of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) went to North Korea on April 23.

The international department of the CPC Central Committee and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC has not yet responded to a Reuters request for a trip and its possible connection with rumors about Kim Jong-un’s health status.

On April 20, CNN , citing a source in the US administration, reported that the United States was studying intelligence data on the deteriorating health status of DPRK State Council Chairman Kim Jong-un after allegedly undergoing surgery. She did not provide any confirmation of this information. The South Korean authorities, in turn, announced that they did not have data on Kim Jong-un’s disease.

On Thursday at a briefing at the White House, US President Donald Trump said that, according to his data, media allegations about the deteriorating health status of DPRK leader Kim Jong-un are not true.
