(ORDO NEWS) — Chinese scientists said that the launch of the Martian mission has already been scheduled for July this year. It is reported by Reedus.
If everything goes according to plan, then a probe with a remotely controlled robot will land on Mars, which will land on the surface of the Red Planet. The Chinese mission will launch a probe into the orbit of Mars and land a robotic rover to study and analyze the surface of a space object.
According to scientists, it will take several months to cover about 55 million kilometers of the distance between Earth and Mars. It is constantly changing due to their planetary orbits.
It is worth noting that China has already carried out a similar mission to the moon, and in January 2019 landed a small rover on the dark side of the moon, becoming the first country to do so.
It was previously reported that the Chinese mission is called “Tianwen,” which means “Questions to Heaven.” On the logo you can see the orbits of the planets that form the letter C, which indicates the name of the country (China), the word cooperation (cooperation) and space speed.
“With this mission, we open flights not only to Mars, but also to other planets. Our plans include Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, as well as various space objects in interstellar space,” the mission leaders said.
