China is changing its position on the war in Ukraine – WSJ

(ORDO NEWS) — China is changing its position on Ukraine and is preparing to send a delegation to Saudi Arabia, where there will be a meeting with more than 30 countries to resolve the war.

This is reported by Сomments.ua  with reference to The Wall Street Journal.

According to the information of the American publication WSJ, China is noticing increasing risks due to the war in Ukraine, which was unleashed by Russia. China previously declared that it maintains neutrality, which helps to fill the budget of the Russian Federation.

However, the situation changed due to Russia’s withdrawal from the Black Sea Grain Initiative, which allowed Ukraine to send grain to three continents: Africa, Asia and Europe. One of the largest importers of Ukrainian grain was China, which does not receive grain due to blockades and constant attacks on Ukrainian port infrastructure.

China also saw the weakness of Putin, against whom Evgeny Prigozhin, the founder of the “Wagner” PMC, rebelled in early June.

The WSJ concludes that China is changing its position on the war in Ukraine and is going to consider a “peace formula” to end the war between Ukraine and Russia. The People’s Republic of China is going to send its delegation to Saudi Arabia, where the first steps towards the implementation of the peace plan may take place.
