(ORDO NEWS) — The first satellites have already been sent for launch from the local spaceport.
As it became known, the Chinese startup GalaxySpace sent a batch of communication satellites to one of the spaceports. With their help, the company intends to deploy its own global satellite network.
At its core, GalaxySpace plans to create an analogue of the Starlink space Internet. Only, unlike the Musk project, the Chinese want to base their Internet on 5G technology, which will make their network 5 times faster than the American version.
The developers noted that, according to their calculations, the highest speed and low latency will limit the number of satellites for a full launch compared to Starlink.
The GalaxySpace network is expected to work with the terminal at speeds in excess of 500 Mbps. For comparison, to date, Musk’s terminals can only boast of 110 Mbps.
Note that, in turn, the developers of the American company have previously stated that their project will continue to support the 6G standard.
