Cats can infect each other with coronavirus

US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — An international team of scientists from Tokyo, Japan and the USA has come to the conclusion that cats can infect each other with a coronavirus.

During the experiment, three healthy cats were kept with three cats infected with SARS-CoV-2 . Five days later it turned out that all cats are infected with coronavirus. Research has shown that cats can be infectious for at least five days.

It is curious that the disease in cats was asymptomatic.

The subjects did not notice any deviations in behavior, decreased appetite or symptoms of SARS. It is not known whether a cat can infect humans. According to scientists, it is much more likely that it is a person who will infect his pet.
