(ORDO NEWS) — Casio has released the iconic G-Shock series in an equally iconic orange design honored by NASA.

The suit’s strategic orange color is meant to improve their visibility during rescue missions. The watch is distinguished by the classic logo of the space department.

The new Casio watch received an orange case and a strap with the inscription NASA along with the US flag. An astronaut is engraved on the back of the watch.

Casio and NASA

Casio has been actively collaborating with NASA for many years. The G-Shock watches are part of a select collection that NASA has approved for use in their spacecraft and aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

The specific model ( GWM5610NASA4 ) is the third one directly related to NASA. Previously, an all-white model and a black and white watch were released.

This is the most expensive of the three G-Shock watches in NASA’s lineup. The operating time of the watch on a single charge is approximately 10 months in normal mode and 22 months in standby mode.

Price and availability

The price of the novelty is 170 dollars (≈5000 hryvnia) . The orange G-Shock watch is available for order on the official Casio website.
