British tourist discovers bird and two animals thought to be extinct
(ORDO NEWS) — Briton Michael Smith rested in Papua New Guinea, where he accidentally photographed a unique bird that was considered extinct.
The man is fond of shooting wildlife. While traveling through a tropical country, he became interested in one bird. The tourist decided to take some pictures and record her singing.
Later these materials were studied by ornithologists. They concluded that the British filmed a bird that was considered extinct.
An interesting fact is that this is not the first discovery of Michael Smith. A couple of years ago, he managed to capture a unique kind of kangaroo.
Scientists have not seen such an animal for almost 100 years. The tourist also discovered the bones of an opossum that became extinct in the 1990s.
