
British fighter escorted Russian military aircraft
US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — British Royal Air Force fighters Typhoon escorted two Russian Tu-142 anti-submarine aircraft. Fighting vehicles of the Russian Aerospace Forces allegedly close by flew to the zone of interests of Britain and NATO.

It is specified that Typhoon took off from Lossiemouth air base and met Tu-142 over the North Sea. The British fighter was supported by the flying tanker Voyager.
The Royal Air Force emphasized that Russian planes did not violate the British borders.
Tu-142 – built on the basis of the strategic missile carrier Tu-95 and is designed to search and destroy submarines. A combat vehicle can take up to 9 tons of weapons on board. The maximum flight range is 12 thousand kilometers, the top speed is 855 kilometers per hour.
