US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — Testing of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine in Britain with the first two volunteers has begun.
The vaccine was made in less than 3 months at Oxford University and there will be 800 volunteers who will be tested.
One of the first two volunteers to be tested for the vaccine is scientist Elisa Granato, who says she only does it to support scientific work whenever she needs to.
Sarah Gilbert, a professor of vaccinology at the university, says it is certain that the vaccine will work, but her confidence remains at 80%.
About 2.7 million people have been infected with Covid-19 worldwide so far, and 188,000 have died.
