(ORDO NEWS) — The Japanese authorities recorded an outbreak of bird flu in the city of Mitoyo, Kagawa Prefecture in the southwest of the country.
In this regard, Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga ordered the responsible ministries to urge poultry traders to be very vigilant, collect data on the spot, and also quickly take measures to prevent the epidemic.
According to Kyodo, Kagawa Prefecture authorities will soon open a headquarters to combat the spread of bird flu. Infected animals are expected to be slaughtered.
