Bill Gates listed measures to combat coronavirus
US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — The founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates, in a column for the Washington Post shared his thoughts on how to improve the situation with the COVID-19 epidemic in the US and the world.
“Without a doubt, the United States missed its opportunity to get ahead of the new coronavirus. But the window of important decisions did not close. The choice we make now <…> will determine how soon the statistics of patients will fall, when the enterprises reopen, and how many Americans have to bury relatives because of an epidemic,” he wrote.
The World Health Organization on March 11 declared a pandemic outbreak of coronavirus infection COVID-19. According to the latest WHO data, over 820 thousand people have been infected worldwide, more than 40 thousand have died.
