B-2 bomber fires first long-range missile capable of reaching Siberia

(ORDO NEWS) — The United States has successfully test-fired a long-range stealth cruise missile, known as the JASSM-ER, from the payload bay of a B-2 Spirit airborne aircraft.

Northrop Grumman first announced the tests at the end of August, although they actually took place in December last year. According to Northrop Grumman, this missile is capable of reaching Siberia.

JASSM-ER is the next generation of AGM-158A JASSM missiles with a range of 400 kilometers, new ammunition is capable of hitting a target at a distance of up to 980 kilometers.
