Angela Merkel threatened Russia with “consequences”
US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — Having learned about the hacker attack on the Bundestag in 2015, which the German security authorities consider Russia to be the culprit, Angela Merkel threatened “consequences”, RND reports.
She called the attack outrageous
“I take these things seriously, because I believe that the investigation was carried out in the proper manner,” Merkel emphasized, speaking of “strong evidence”, and added that, in her opinion, this is not a mere coincidence, but Russian strategy of hybrid warfare.
Merkel assured that she would continue to strive to establish good relations with Russia, but “trusting cooperation” was undermined.
