Alien life has already been found on Mars, but people are not yet ready for such information, NASA scientist said

(ORDO NEWS) — NASA has been searching for extraterrestrial life for a long time. Moreover, the space agency has never denied this, and this is enough to discuss the possibility of the existence of non-human living beings outside the Earth in any form, from micro to macro.

Controversy arose when retired NASA Chief Scientist James L. Green spoke about Mars and extraterrestrial life a couple of years ago.

Before moving on to Dr. Green’s statement, it should be known that NASA recognizes the possibility of alien intervention in the history of the Earth.

In 2014, NASA published a book called “Archaeology, Anthropology and Interstellar Space” which examines extraterrestrial intervention in human history. It notes the possibility that some of the rock art on Earth may be of extraterrestrial origin.

In addition, in terms of facts, it would take only 10,000 years for the human presence to disappear from the planet, which is so short compared to the age of the Earth.

If such a civilization existed, the traces would not be so obvious – given that over 4 billion years of the Earth’s existence represents a sufficiently wide range for the evolution (and destruction) of intelligent life.

In 2019, retired NASA Scientist Dr. Jim Green made several statements that caused a lot of controversy. He stated that the European Space Agency has already found evidence of extraterrestrial life on Mars. Dr. Green is convinced that humanity as we know it today is not ready for such information.

In the summer of 2020, two rovers from Nasa and the European Space Agency (ESA) will travel to Mars to drill horizontal sections in rocks and deep into the surface, hoping to find evidence of living organisms.

He assured that evidence of extraterrestrial existence on Mars would be obtained, at the latest, in mid-2021. However, it will take humanity much longer to come to terms with the fact that life still exists outside the Earth.

It is now 2022, but NASA has yet to announce alien life on Mars. What could be the reason for this – either it really has not yet been found (which is extremely doubtful) or people have not dared to tell about it, which is more likely.

Has the Mars 2020 Perseverance rover detected life on the Martian surface?

NASA’s Perseverance rover has been exploring two very different geological units at the bottom of Jezero Crater since landing on February 18, 2021.

The rover has discovered new evidence of ancient hot magma and large amounts of water. He also discovered ancient organic molecules found in all living things and preserved in rocks and dust.

To detect them, Perseverance used the Scanning Habitable Environments with Raman & Luminescence for Organics & Chemicals (SHERLOC) instrument.

Organics are a tempting find as they are the building blocks of life. However, both biological and non-biological processes can create organics.

Whether these particular organic substances are the remains of once-living organisms or not, scientists have yet to find out. In addition, this is not the first time that the rover has found organic matter on Mars.

Is it possible that NASA has already found aliens on Mars?

Prior to launch, Dr. Greene said: “These missions are the best chance for humanity to answer the question: Are we alone in the universe?” Dr. Greene was actively involved in both missions.

He added that “there is a real possibility that one or both missions will be successful.” However, this will have far-reaching consequences, and he believes that the Earth is not yet ready.

“It’s going to be revolutionary. It’s like when Copernicus said, ‘We don’t go around the sun.’ Totally revolutionary. It’s going to start a whole new line of thinking. I don’t think we’re ready for the results. We’re not.”

“I was worried about this because I think we are close to finding it and making some statements. What happens next is a whole new set of scientific questions. Is this life like us?

How are we related to it? does life move from planet to planet or do we have a spark and just the right environment, and that spark gives rise to life – like us or not like us – based on the chemical environment in which it is located?

A study published in 2020 shows that planets previously considered uninhabitable may once have had suitable conditions for life.

Researchers have discovered a chemical – phosphine – in the dense atmosphere of Venus. After careful analysis, scientists say the only explanation for the source of this chemical is something alive.

How can scientists inform the world about the discovery of alien life?

A team of scientists led by Dr. Green has proposed a new system that will help check and then report the detection of biosignatures off Earth, similar to the Torino scale (a tool for classifying potential Earth impact events) for assessing asteroid hazard.

Their idea is to use a scale from 1 to 7, which will allow you to gradually increase the degree of confidence in each case.

Known as “life detection certainty”, or CoLD, its initial stages will reflect only confirmation that the result is not due to pollution or some obvious abiotic origin, while its final levels will be reliable follow-up observations confirming connection with life.

“These are complex things,” said Dr. Green. “But we really need to be able to just get the message across.”

Dr. Greene said that one of the promising signs of life on Mars is that every summer the planet becomes gaseous, with the amount of methane gas present on the surface increasing dramatically.

The Curiosity rover also detected molecular oxygen, which increases by 30 percent each spring and summer before falling again in the fall.

“This tells us that life may be underground in the summer – the soil warms up and therefore loosens, which allows methane to seep out.

We have all sorts of indirect observations that indicate that there may be microbial life on Mars too,” he explained.

Most likely, life on Mars and Venus can still be supported underground, and in order to make the surface habitable, Dr. Green proposed terraforming both planets.

Mars could be terraformed, he says, by placing a giant magnetic shield between the planet and the Sun that would prevent the Sun from destroying its atmosphere, allowing the planet to hold more heat and warm its climate, making it habitable.
