US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — The African Organization of Petroleum Producers (APPO) decided to support OPEC +’s efforts to stabilize the market by reducing its own production, and it intends to inform OPEC in the near future about the details of this plan, the organization said in a statement.
“In a spirit of cooperation and collective responsibility … APPO non-OPEC + members also committed to contribute to the global effort to stabilize the oil market by reducing their daily production. Details of this reduction will be communicated to the OPEC secretariat as soon as possible,” said in a document posted on the OPEC Twitter page.
