(ORDO NEWS) — Many futurists predict that in the future, technology will be at a very high level, and times will change beyond recognition.
Everything can change – including the way of acquiring knowledge. Nicholas Negroponte of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology said that in 30 years, learning a foreign language will be as easy as taking a pill.
This statement was made by the founder of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Media Lab during the TED (Technology, Entertainment and Design) scientific conference.
In his opinion, in the future, a person will be able to absorb knowledge in a literal sense. This knowledge will be in special tablets. According to Negropont, “you take a pill and you know English. You take a pill and you know Shakespeare.”
All knowledge will be contained in pills and get into the blood, and then into the brain.
Such a possibility seems almost unbelievable – a person, instead of going to school or a library, could simply buy the right pills and know everything he wants.
However, it is not known how long such wisdom pills will last, whether they will be available to all people, at what price they can be bought, and whether they will be harmful to us and will not cause unwanted side effects.
