24 spy aircraft flew in the Russian border

US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — Over the past seven days, Russian air defense has detected 19 foreign reconnaissance aircraft and 5 drones near the country’s airspace.

These data are published by the Ministry of Defense in a weekly report, the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper reported.

Nothing is reported about the departure of duty fighters of the Russian Aerospace Forces, however, the military clarifies that border violations were not allowed.

It is worth noting that foreign spy aircraft regularly fly next to Russian military facilities abroad.

So, on May 7, the US Navy P-8A Poseidon aircraft appeared near the Khmeimim air base and the port of Tartus in Syria. A scout moved along the coast of the Arab Republic, but did not fly closer than 40 kilometers.

This is the second flight of American aviation near Khmeimim in recent years. On April 19, the Russian Su-35 fighter had to drive off the Poseidon, which was heading for the Russian Armed Forces in Syria.
