(ORDO NEWS) — In the US, 199 chronically ill patients were frozen after death. This was stated by Max Mor, honorary president of the Alcor Foundation, which is engaged in similar experiments.
The bodies of people who have given permission for cryopreservation are stored in liquid nitrogen. According to Max Mohr, an unexpected return of consciousness is excluded, since the procedure stops blood clotting.
The same actions are carried out with people who donate their organs. Formally, a person is declared dead, but some of his organs remain viable.
The full cryopreservation procedure will cost $200,000. Scientists hope that over time, new scientific advances will make it possible to revive and heal seriously ill patients.
