127 doctors die from coronavirus in Italy
US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — In Italy, 525 people died from coronavirus per day. In total, 22,170 patients with this diagnosis died during the epidemic. Among them, 127 doctors.
Such data is published by the country’s civil defense service. Mortality is falling every day. On April 15, 578 deaths were registered, on April 14 – 602.
The total number of COVID-positive patients in Italy is 168,941. This is 3,786 more than the day before.
On March 11, the World Health Organization announced a pandemic outbreak of a new coronavirus infection originating in China. Today, COVID-19 has infected more than 2 million people worldwide, more than 137 thousand have died.
The most difficult situation due to coronavirus has developed in the USA, Italy and Spain. In America, the number of cases exceeded 640 thousand. On the Apennine Peninsula, against the background of a high rate of infected – more than 168 thousand – there is a high mortality rate: more than 22 thousand people. For comparison, in Germany, 3.8 thousand deaths occur in 135 thousand cases of coronavirus. Spain is now the leader in the number of infections in Europe: 182 thousand patients are diagnosed with COVID-19.
