104-year-old woman cured of Spanish flu during recovered from coronavirus

US, WASHINGTON (ORDO NEWS) — A rather surprising story from Brooklyn was published on the network: there, a 104-year-old woman was ill from the coronavirus, who was ill with a Spanish woman during the last pandemic.

We are talking about Idea Acconsiamisi, who on the eve of April 4 passed the test for COVID-19, which showed a positive result. During the treatment period, the woman received oxygen, and also became very weak and could not eat on her own. But after only a month, a 104-year-old woman managed to overcome the disease.

According to her daughter, Barbara Seneese, Acconsiamez was not the first time faced with this kind of problem – she had already survived the Spanish flu, she had two broken hips, pseudomembranous colitis and fourth-stage melanoma.

”At 104, I think it’s a miracle to survive after COVID-19. We have people 40-50 years old who die from coronavirus. So, 104 years old – it’s wonderful that she was able to survive all this,” said the patient herself.
